A color cut short
Dark turquoise appeared briefly in late-1990s themes including Aquazone and the original Adventurers line. LEGO retired the color in 2002, and most molds were never returned to production.
Modern revival
Following years of community demand, LEGO reissued limited dark turquoise elements in 2022, but classic 2×2 bricks from the original run command a premium for their slightly warmer hue.
