The holy grail of rare LEGO minifigures
In 2010, LEGO molded a small batch of unpainted white test shots of the Cloud City Boba Fett LEGO minifigure as part of internal design review. Only two examples of the white Boba Fett are known to have escaped the factory, making it widely regarded as the rarest LEGO Star Wars minifigure in existence — and the most expensive LEGO minifigure ever to change hands.
How much is the white Boba Fett LEGO worth?
The first publicly traded white Boba Fett sold in 2019 for around $11,000. A subsequent private sale in 2022 reportedly cleared six figures, and collectors now value authenticated white Boba Fett LEGO prototypes at $150,000 or more depending on provenance and condition — comfortably the most valuable LEGO minifigure ever recorded.
How to authenticate a white Boba Fett prototype
Genuine prototypes are molded in pure white ABS with no printing or paint applied. The torso, helmet, jetpack, and legs all share the exact tooling marks of the production 2010 Cloud City release. Reproductions exist in cast resin and slightly off-white ABS — both fail UV inspection and weight tests against a verified production figure.
